About A&T Parts and Rebuilders

A&T Parts and Rebuilders, Inc. first opened its doors in February, 1971.  We started specializing in starters, alternators and generators.  We later added water pumps to our product line.  A&T was originally owned by Al Lovett and Toy Wise – hence the name A&T.  Our first location was on West Main in Tupelo, Mississippi.  In 1974 A&T moved from its small rented location to a new building built specifically for the company on Westmoreland Drive in Tupelo, Mississippi which is our location to this day.

In 1972, Toy bought Al’s part in the business.  Toy’s wife Dena Wise and sons, Jerry Wise, Terry Wise and Barry Wise were integral parts of the business.  Through the years Gerry Moroney, Jeremy Wise and Don Moroney also joined the management at A &T.  The business is currently owned by Barry Wise, Jeremy Wise and Don Moroney.

Toy Wise’s vision was to make sure that each customer was given personal attention and was left feeling that our product, price and service were fair and represented top quality.  The most important part of Toy’s plan was that each individual left A&T knowing that we truly care about our customers.

The last 43 years has brought many changes and challenges.  When our business began 43 years ago we dealt mostly with domestic starters and alternators. There were approximately 5 part numbers that worked for every car, truck and tractor.  Today there are thousands of part numbers for thousands of domestic and foreign vehicles. In the midst of the all the new parts, A&T developed a globally used part number system (PIC) and has gained respect in the industry as a true leader.

The last 43 years have brought changes, which brings challenges, which brought knowledge.  Through it all we have stayed true to the original values that Toy Wise demanded.   In today’s automotive world it is easy to lose the personal touch.  Remember, when you call A&T you are going to get a live person that understands the years of changes and challenges this market has brought and will assist you like family.
